THE BIRTH OF A POEM
The Lamp that does witness the works of the world
Faded, kissing the western seas
The golden bird of Day winged away
And hid in some void.
The Beings that worship the day
Broke away the thread of work
Donning the blanket of Darkness on,
Night danced...
The Night-walkers rose and began to chant
Lauding Darkness.
The moon reached the verge of the sky
And stars kindled Lamps
My parrot of thoughts soared high,
spreading it's wings....
The Fancy flower that budded from
my tiny brain blossomed wide;
And the mysteries of Life, one after another
Flowed from the tip of the quill.
