THE TRAJECTORY OF KNOWLEDGE

Endless and boundless
Is the world of knowledge.
And if in the realm of knowledge
Human wisdom reaches
His brain will shine.
Then his mind knows no confusion
He will experience no agony!

Whereas he who has no knowledge
Of the world’s truth
Will never reach the world of knowledge.
His mind will be shrouded by darkness
He will never see
A shred of light anywhere!

You should know
That your world will shrink
Into darkness
Unless you carry on
Your meditation on truth!

You will gain strength
And pleasure through meditation
And reach the trajectory
Of knowledge and happiness!

A MID DAY DREAM

A summer Sunday – it was mid noon
A weary wind blew around
And saddled me to sleep
In a slumber mood I saw
A lady with a hearty smile
In her hand she held a rose
Red in colour, rich in fragrance.
‘What is this?’ the lady asked.
“A beautiful red rose!” Answered I

The Lady kissed and smelt the rose
Then she crushed it in her fist
“Now what a stuff is this?
A nameless thing!” – murmured she.

Then she laughed and laughed like a ghost
I woke up from my mid-day sleep
A weary hot wind blew around
I was alone in my room.

A MORNING DREAM

In my Morning Dream I saw
A Mansion House on pillars four!
A man was on a golden throne
Dark in colour, stiff and stout
He was in his kingly robes
And a crown was on his head.

Beside him a lady stood;
She had had a queenly look.
A milky smile was in her lips
‘Sit down my son!’ Said the king
I was seated on a chair.
I felt, I were in golden robes
I felt, a crown was on my head
And my wife was beside me.
She was also in golden robes
And a crown was on her head

“Morning Dreams have their meanings lad!”
I recalled what my grandma said.
Still that dream is there in memory
But I couldn’t find out meanings.

LONELY ROAMER

A Roamer am I
A lonely Roamer
Unknown to this world.
I am searching truth and light
The sparks of love and compassion.
I am alien in my routes
The indifferent ones, full of thorns

Restless are my boring days
Sleepless are my lonely nights.
Miles and miles I left behind
I am roaming through and through

Nowhere I could see the truth
Sparks of light I couldn’t see.
But in darkness I could see
Dancing monsters in golden robes
clapping hands in drunken mood.

‘Time and tides will never wait
Go on…. You are nearing the goal’!
Someone whispered in my ears
I am roaming through and through
Searching sparks of truth and light
A Roamer am I
A lonely Roamer
Unknown to this world.

AN ISOLATED JOURNEY

In my isolated journeys
Through the isolated routes
A pair of arrows
Stuck on my feet.

Soon I took my bow
The arrow darted away!
My eyes chased them
But could not follow.

Years later
In an unknown city
I saw those arrows again
In the eyes of the unknowns
One was neglect
The other was approval.

MIND OF A POET

Smaller than the smallest thing
Thinner than the thinnest one
Deeper than the deepest sea
It is none but a poet’s mind

Light rays from it fall and spread
In and around all the world
From these rays wise men weave
Culture in turn – life on earth.

Who knows facts as facts
All are busy - to whom I complaint?

WHY THESE WALLS

Ladly, do not build up walls,
Do not take my skeleton out.
Do not ladly, do not build
Concrete walls and gates in steel
The wealth and culture that we nurtured
Do not destroy, let them exist.
Ladly do not build up walls
We are womb mates! Why these walls?

FAME AND SHAME

Do not possess looted fame
It’s a shame, a brutal shame
Disgrace none – Beware friends
Fame is a boon, not a price
Self made fame is just a price
Paid by jokers – It’s a fun
Don’t be mockers made by Jokers

I AM BUSY! LET ME BE FREE!

No no I am not to win
Worthless debates, let me be free
Myself I am always there
in a Durbar filled up with
wise men who know what is debate

No, no I am not to loose
A worthy debate, the rarer one
I am busy! let me be free!

THE SO-CALLED I?

I who sow the seeds of all
Pains and sorrows in my heart
Reap and store the crops for me
For myself and for  kith and kins

A silly thing the so-called I
But I think I am great!
